Smart-Home Compatible Blinds
Smart-home compatible blinds add voice and app control to any solar-powered blind. Link them to Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit through a small hub and they will open with your morning routine, close at sunset, or move on command — all without wiring.
What they are
Smart-home blinds are solar-powered motorised blinds paired with a bridge or hub that connects them to your home network. Once linked, they appear in the same app as your other smart devices and respond to voice assistants.
The blinds themselves are still self-charging and wire-free — the smart layer simply sits on top, adding scheduling, scenes and voice control to the remote you already have.
How the smart control works
Each blind's solar-charged motor talks to a small hub that plugs into your router or a power socket. The hub bridges the blinds onto your Wi-Fi and into Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit.
From there you can group blinds into rooms, run them on a timer, trigger them at sunrise and sunset, or fold them into scenes — 'Good morning' opening the bedroom blinds, 'Movie night' closing the living-room ones.
Because it is the hub — not each blind — that connects to the mains, the blinds keep all the wire-free, self-charging benefits of solar power.
Where they fit
- Whole-home setups where you want every room on one app
- Bedrooms you would like to wake to gently as the blinds open
- Living rooms and media rooms with scene-based control
- Homes already using Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit
Why choose them
Voice and app control
Open, close or set blinds by voice or from your phone, alongside the rest of your smart home.
Automate to the sun
Schedule blinds to track sunrise and sunset, or run to a timer, so the house looks after itself.
Scenes for every routine
Bundle blinds into scenes — morning, away, movie night — triggered with a word or a tap.
Still wire-free
Only the hub needs power; the blinds stay solar-charged, so there is no rewiring to go smart.
Smart-Home Compatible Blinds — FAQs
Which smart-home systems do the blinds work with?
The common ones — Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit — through a compatible hub. Tell us which system you use and we will match you with blinds and a bridge that support it.
Do I need a hub?
For voice and app control, yes — a single small hub bridges all your blinds onto your network. Without it, the blinds still work perfectly from their handheld remote.
Does going smart mean running cables?
No. Only the hub plugs in, and it sits by your router. The blinds themselves stay solar-powered and wire-free.
